Townes M Company LLC, doing business as Townes & Co, operates the SafeText platform and this toll-free number. “Moss Field Safety Line” is the transactional program name shown to Moss Utilities field personnel and safety staff.

Use case

Moss Utilities field personnel text this number to report workplace safety incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards. The system sends one confirmation to the reporter per incident, and relays the report as an incident alert to the enrolled members of the Moss Utilities internal safety team so they can respond and follow up. Message frequency varies with incident activity. No marketing, promotional, lead-generation, age-gated, or third-party content is sent. The program is explicitly not a substitute for 911 in an emergency, and every reporter confirmation says so.

Consent flow

  1. Reporters: the field worker initiates the exchange by texting a safety report; the program replies once with the confirmation below, which carries STOP language. STOP ends all replies to that number (reports are still received and recorded for workplace-safety documentation).
  2. Safety-team responders: safety staff register a responder's work mobile number, which sends no message and does not provide consent. The responder voluntarily texts START to (844) 723-3988 and receives the confirmation below before any alerts are sent. STOP removes them from alerts; START or UNSTOP opts them back in.
  3. Both flows are described publicly at the SMS opt-in notice, alongside the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

SMS enrollment is optional and is not a condition of employment. Incidents can always be reported directly to safety staff by phone.
