"Moss Field Safety Line" is the safety-incident reporting program operated for Moss Utilities by Townes M Company LLC, doing business as Townes & Co (the registered message sender and toll-free number operator). Moss Utilities field personnel text this number to report safety incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards from the jobsite. The program sends two kinds of messages: a confirmation to the person who reported, and incident alerts to enrolled members of the Moss Utilities safety team. No marketing or promotional messages are sent. The safety line is not a substitute for 911 in a life-threatening emergency.
How consent works
- Reporters (field personnel): texting a safety report to this number is the message that starts the exchange; the program replies with a single confirmation of that report. Each confirmation includes opt-out language, and texting STOP stops all program replies while reports themselves are always still accepted and recorded.
- Safety-team responders: the safety team first registers a responder's work mobile number. Registration alone sends no message and does not provide consent. The responder voluntarily texts START to (844) 723-3988 and receives the confirmation below before any incident alerts are sent. Replying STOP removes them from alerts; START or UNSTOP opts them back in.
SMS enrollment is optional and consent is not a condition of employment. Incidents can always be reported by phone to the safety team directly. Consent is not collected through any other website form, purchased list, or third party.

After safety staff register the responder's work number, the responder texts START to (844) 723-3988. No alerts are sent before that voluntary text. Twilio immediately replies:
