SafeText is a workplace safety-incident reporting service operated by Townes M Company LLC, doing business as Townes & Co, on behalf of Moss Utilities. Field personnel report safety incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards by text message to the Moss Field Safety Line number; the internal safety team receives those reports as text alerts and documents the response.
Information we collect
Name and mobile phone number of field personnel and safety staff (provided by their employer as part of their work), the content of text messages and photos sent to the safety line, and the incident records the safety team creates while responding (notes, status changes, timestamps).
How we use it
Solely to operate the safety-reporting service: identifying who sent a report, alerting the internal safety team, documenting the response, and producing the incident record employers are required to keep for workplace-safety compliance (for example OSHA recordkeeping). We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
Text messaging
Texting a report to the safety line starts the exchange; the service replies once per incident to confirm receipt. Enrolled safety-team responders receive incident alerts. Message frequency varies with incident activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages — safety reports you send are still received and recorded; reply HELP or AYUDA for assistance. The service is not a substitute for 911 in an emergency.
Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. We share information only with the service providers required to operate the service (message delivery and hosting infrastructure), and with your employer's safety and administrative staff, who administer the service and are responsible for workplace-safety records.
Retention & security
Incident and message records are retained for the employer's workplace-safety documentation and compliance needs. Data is stored in access-controlled systems; access is limited to authorized safety and administrative staff.
