The service
SafeText is a workplace safety-incident reporting service operated by Townes M Company LLC, doing business as Townes & Co, on behalf of Moss Utilities. Field personnel may report safety incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards by texting the Moss Field Safety Line number; the internal safety team receives those reports as text alerts, responds, and documents the incident. The service is not an emergency service — in a life-threatening emergency, call 911 first.
Eligibility
The service is for Moss Utilities employees, crews, and authorized personnel on Moss jobsites. Reports from unregistered numbers are still accepted and reviewed. The safety team may add, deactivate, or correct registered people and phone numbers at any time.
Text messaging terms
- Texting a report to the safety line starts the exchange; the service replies once per incident to confirm receipt.
- Safety staff may register a responder's work number, but registration sends no message and does not provide consent. Responders receive incident alerts only after voluntarily texting START to (844) 723-3988.
- Message frequency varies with incident activity.
- Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier's plan.
- Reply STOP to stop receiving messages at any time — reports you send are still received and recorded for workplace-safety documentation. Reply HELP or AYUDA for bilingual instructions, or contact your safety team.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Acceptable use
The service is for legitimate workplace-safety reports. Reports are reviewed and triaged by the internal safety team; deliberately false reporting may be addressed under the employer's workplace policies.
Availability & changes
The service is provided as-is and may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time; it does not replace any employer-required incident-reporting procedure. These terms may be updated; continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
